Program: Hawai‘i Fresh Water Initiative
Speaker: Dana Okano, Hawai‘i Community Foundation
Description: The Fresh Water Initiative was established in 2013 by Hawai‘i Community Foundation to address Hawai‘i’s long-term potable water supply sustainability by securing 100 million gallons per day of fresh water. We work with public and private partners across the state to achieve this goal. The priorities are on projects that increase water conservation, water reuse, and recharge of groundwater.

Description: The City's One Water policy framework exists to increase proactive collaboration amongst City departments towards the holistic, efficient, and effective management of integrated water resources. Integrating resilient design, planning and budgeting is critical to effectively prepare for a thriving future.
