2026 WEFTEC Operations Scholarship

WEFTEC 2026 Operations Scholarship – Apply by May 29, 2026

HWEA is now accepting applications for the WEFTEC 2026 Operations Scholarship. This scholarship provides funding for operations professionals seeking to advance their knowledge, skills, and certifications by attending WEFTEC 2026 in New Orleans, Louisiana, September 26–30, 2026.

Award Amount: Up to $3,000 per recipient, covering airfare, hotel, conference registration, and ground transportation.

Number of Awards: Up to four (4) recipients will be selected.

Eligibility Applicants must be a current HWEA member or commit to becoming one upon award (membership cost may be reimbursed). Eligible candidates include those seeking an entry-level operator's license, licensed operators at any level pursuing professional development, and staff working in an operations group at a water or wastewater utility.

How to Apply Complete the online application and submit a 1-page employer recommendation letter that includes approval to attend and at least two reasons why you should be selected. Applications will be reviewed for completeness, professionalism, and quality of responses. Incomplete applications will not be eligible for award.
